Upgrading Windows Edition
Overview
This guide explains how to upgrade your Windows edition (e.g., from Home to Pro, Pro to Enterprise) using KMS activation methods.
Prerequisites
- Administrator access to the Windows system
- Active KMS server connection
- Valid product key for target edition
- Backup of important data (recommended)

Upgrade Process
Step 1: Check Current Edition
Open Powershell as Administrator and run:
slmgr /dlv
Step 2: Obtain Product Key
Find the appropriate KMS client setup key for your target edition from the Microsoft documentation.
Common KMS Client Keys:
- Windows 11/10 Pro: W269N-WFGWX-YVC9B-4J6C9-T83GX
- Windows 11/10 Enterprise: NPPR9-FWDCX-D2C8J-H872K-2YT43
- Windows 11/10 Education: NW6C2-QMPVW-D7KKK-3GKT6-VCFB2
Step 3: Install Product Key
Open PowerShell as Administrator and run:
changepk.exe /ProductKey VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T
After It is done, run:
slmgr /ipk <Product_Key_Here>
Step 4: Activate Windows
Open PowerShell as Administrator and run:
slmgr /ato
